Come The Sun!

"I am your enemy, knock me down,
Take my land, my wealth, my crown.
With one foot in a pauper's grave,
Reduce me to a fool, a slave.

But as you toy with the tethered goat,
My son, the Lion, is taking note!
Now is the time, now is the hour!
To unleash his healing power!

Come the Sun! Come the Sun!
The Sun will rise on the Chosen one!
Come the Sun! Come the Sun!
When he is risen, the war is won!

Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah...
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah...

Goddamn your evil heart and eyes,
The bad will perish and the good will rise.
Killing us off for profit and fun,
You thought the global war was won.

Come the Sun! Come the Sun!
The Sun will rise on the Chosen one!
Come the Sun! Come the Sun!
When he is risen, the war is won!

Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah...
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah...

People all over, rising up.
Seems that they have had enough.
Retribution overdue.
Reject the rule of the Global Few!

The bought and paid for all in place,
How could THEY possibly lose the race?
But they forgot one simple lesson,
The folks with whom the bought were messing!
Come the Sun! Come the Sun!
The Sun will rise on the Chosen one!
Come the Sun! Come the Sun!
When he is risen, the war is won!

Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah...
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah...

The traitor within the enterprise,
Imposes rule by guile and guise,
But we are woken to the lies.
So, it should come as no surprise.

That people rage when children die,
And seek to remedy, rectify.
Because you cannot kill us all,
You can't avoid your own downfall!

Come the Sun! Come the Sun!
The Sun will rise on the Chosen one!
Come the Sun! Come the Sun!
Once we rise, the war is won!

Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah...
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah..."

Have You Seen Johnny?

Wrote and recorded this song in October 2024.
"I knew a feller was bound to fail,
Kept on searching for the holy grail.
I knew a guy misspent his youth.
Would not stop looking for the hidden truth.

Have you seen Johnny?
Have you seen John?
Have you seen Johnny?
My friend Johnny's been gone too long.

Long blonde hair and bright blue eyes
And a smile to win the smiling prize.
I knew a feller who was on my team,
I knew a feller had a hell of a dream.

He didn't quote book or nursery rhyme,
He'd listen, consider then speak his mind.
Gonna set the world aright, he said.
Gonna put the devil's kin to bed.

Have you seen Johnny?
Have you seen John?
Have you seen Johnny?
My friend Johnny's been gone too long.

He preached the value of a golden code.
But I doubt he found the motherlode.
The powers-that-be they come down hard,
On the solitary hero standing guard.

Have you seen Johnny?
Have you seen John?
Have you seen Johnny?
My friend Johnny's been gone too long.

He had to put the world to right
And off he went to fight the fight.
But you tell the truth in truthless age
And THEY'll erase that truthful page.

I hear tell they shot him down
And buried him in unhallowed ground.
Well, Johnny still has a world to save,
And I won't believe it till I see his grave.

Have you seen Johnny?
Have you seen John?
Have you seen Johnny?
My friend Johnny's been gone too long.

Though the fires of hell they choke and burn,
Johnny never broke one single vow.
And he said one day he would return.
Come home Johnny, we need you now!

Have you seen Johnny?
Have you seen him?
You might have seen Johnny,
Where there's a world to win.

Have you seen Johnny?
Have you seen John?
Have you seen Johnny?
My friend Johnny's been gone too long."

TOMCAT

The 'B' Side of 'Hey You! (Get Out Of My Bed)' was composed three years earlier for 'a musical' I wrote that was never produced.

The 'Tomcat' character, a dark presence within it, was a pimp. Thus, the questionable lyrics.

Annabelle

'Annabelle' was written in 1975 and recorded in 1979.

Life Can Be A Party

The painting that introduces this song was painted by pre-Raphaelite artist, William Holman Hunt, in 1851.

It is called 'The Hireling Shepherd.'

I wrote 'Life Can Be A Party' in 1989. This version was recorded at home in late 2023 using an Apple computer and Apple's Garageband technology.

"Hey there, brother, with your sorrowful face,
The world can be a difficult place.
But why would you worry what the future will do,
When all of your worries may never come true.

Though the world be full of trouble and strife,
With the bad guys bearing down on life,
Stand up for yourself and seize the day
And gather those rosebuds while you may.

Life can be a party.
Life can be a party.
Life Can be a party
If you don't let the bad guys get you down.
Life Can be a party,
If you don't let the bad guys get you down.

Hey there, sister, all misty-eyed,
There's a great big, beautiful world outside,
So you lost your lover to a good time girl,
You'a ll alone and it hurts like hell.

Well, I promise you, baby, before you know,
The best of times will whisper low,
'There's ten good guys for every bad
And they're out there waiting to be had!'

Life can be a party.
Life can be a party.
Life Can be a party
If you don't let the bad guys get you down.
Life Can be a party,
If you don't let the bad guys get you down.

Wake up, it's a beautiful morning.
Wake up, and behold the light,
And though troubles come without any warning,
Everything's gonna be,
Just you wait and see,
Everything's gonna be alright.
The joys of life are infinite.

Life can be a party.
Life can be a party.
Life Can be a party
If you don't let the bad guys get you down.
Life Can be a party
If you don't let the bad guys get you down."

YOU'RE LYING!

Within the video you will see an engraving of Adam and Eve  tempted by the Serpent in the Garden of Eden.

This can be found in the 1504 edition of 'Methodus Primum Olimpiade.'

'Honey, I see the way the wind is blowing,
I can't help but wonder just where our love is going.'
We've been together a good long time,
I know your little ways and you know mine
And I can tell when you're holding something back,
You're way out somewhere on a different tack.

You want me to think it's all in my mind,
You're not the sly and cheating kind
And when you get home late, well, I'm not to worry
But you can't stop now 'cos you're in a hurry
Well, what kind of a fool do you take me for?
I don't believe you any more.

You're lying!
You're lying!
You're lying to me!

Out playing your games right round the clock,
You made my name a laughing stock.
I'm just the fool who pays the bills
While someone else provides the thrills.
Love had me blind to your wicked way
But I'm wiser now and now you're gonna pay!

You're lying!
You're lying!
You're lying to me!

Bitterness is all I feel.
I can't tell what's right but I know what's real.
No truth, no guidance from above,
Not one helping hand,
No love.
There'll be no justice here.
I'm gonna put that right
Tonight.

All good things come to their end,
Goodbye my fair weather friend.
Much better that we part this way
Thank let it go another day.
You may protest your innocence,
I'd like to believe you but I can't take the chance.

I know you're lying!
You're lying!
You're lying to me!

Oh, baby you're lying!
You're lying!
You're lying to me!

You're lying!
You're lying!
You're lying to me!'
